A Pair of Suspects Accused for Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder after the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.

Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes among them the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
